Kayentis and Ametris partner on integrated eCOA and wearable adherence platform

Kayentis and Ametris have announced a strategic partnership to integrate wearable technology management and electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment tools in clinical trials, with a focus on improving wearable device adherence and data quality.

The collaboration integrates Ametris’ wearable monitoring capabilities into Kayentis’ eCOA application, allowing patients to complete questionnaires while receiving real-time feedback and reminders on device use. The companies said the integrated approach aims to reduce data variability and operational burden in digitally enabled trials.

Wearable technology is increasingly used in oncology, cardiology and neurology studies to capture objective measures such as activity, sleep, circadian rhythms and vital signs. However, inconsistent device use remains a significant source of missing data and trial inefficiency.

The integrated solution includes real-time feedback on wear time, reminders to improve compliance and automatic device syncing within the eCOA app. Kayentis and Ametris said this approach could simplify workflows for trial sites and improve participant engagement and data completeness for sponsors.

Guillaume Juge, ceo of Kayentis, said: “We are thrilled with this alliance with Ametris in rolling out a value-added integrated eCOA and wearable technology solution that will transform wearable adherence in clinical trials. It marks a significant step forward in the management of complex clinical trials, often marred by data frequently collected in separate systems and only reconciled retrospectively.”

The companies said the solution embeds compliance monitoring for Ametris’ ActiGraph LEAP multi-sensor wearable into Kayentis’ Clin’form App, with mobile alerts prompting patients when wear time is insufficient. They said the approach is designed to improve long-term adherence and the reliability of continuous real-world data collected during studies.

Jeremy Wyatt, ceo at Ametris, said: “This partnership represents a meaningful step forward in how digital health technologies are delivered in clinical trials. By deeply integrating our best-in-class wearable DHT platform with Kayentis’ proven eCOA capabilities, we’re addressing two of the most persistent challenges in studies today – participant adherence and site burden.”

Kayentis develops eCOA and decentralised clinical trial technologies, while Ametris provides digital health platforms combining sensors, algorithms and remote data capture tools. The companies said future enhancements are planned to further streamline device management and trial operations.
