IQVIA and Veeva agree global clinical and commercial collaboration
IQVIA and Veeva Systems have announced the resolution of all pending legal disputes and the establishment of long-term global partnerships designed to enhance efficiency in clinical and commercial operations for life sciences companies.
Under the agreement, customers will be able to use software, data, technology, and services from both organizations in a more integrated and efficient manner. The partnerships cover two main areas: commercial and clinical.
Commercial integration will allow customers to combine IQVIA and Veeva offerings. The companies have put in place master data and software third-party access agreements, enabling IQVIA or Veeva data to be used with each other’s software or services in customer instances. This includes the use of IQVIA data in Veeva Network for master data management, Veeva Nitro for analytics, and Veeva AI. Similarly, Veeva data can be used in IQVIA’s commercial products and services.
IQVIA has also joined the Veeva Technology, AI, and Services Partner Programs to support integrations between Veeva software and IQVIA’s analytics, information management (including MDM), Agentic AI, and commercial orchestration offerings. These agreements aim to simplify processes for obtaining third-party access for projects.
On the clinical side, IQVIA has joined Veeva’s CRO clinical data partner program. This will enable IQVIA to use the Veeva Clinical Suite to execute trials, including study builds using Veeva EDC.
According to the companies, this collaboration is intended to speed up database builds, study locks, and data delivery by combining IQVIA’s clinical data management and technology expertise with Veeva’s software tools.
“We are committed to supporting frictionless product and services integration with IQVIA for the benefit of our joint customers and the industry overall,” said Veeva founder and CEO Peter Gassner. “I am excited about the potential for our clinical and commercial partnerships to create significant value for our shared customers.”
“IQVIA and Veeva’s partnerships bring together best-in-class capabilities in information, AI, technology, and services for our shared clients,” said Ari Bousbib, chairman and CEO of IQVIA. “This will enable IQVIA customers on Veeva platforms to accelerate clinical development, bring treatments to market more efficiently, and improve access to innovations for patients.”
