Outcome Capital launches advisory board to advance innovation in pharmacy and related services

Outcome Capital, a life sciences and healthcare advisory and investment banking firm, has launched a Pharmacy and Related Services Advisory Board to provide specialised guidance to pharmaceutical, pharmacy, and related service clients navigating the evolving healthcare landscape.

The initiative is part of Outcome Capital’s dedicated Healthcare Services Practice, which aims to deliver strategy-led, market-aligned advice across the healthcare continuum. The Advisory Board will focus on the trends reshaping pharmacy, including the shift toward direct-to-consumer models, the evolving needs of specialty and long-term care pharmacies, and the growing impact of technology, digital health, and artificial intelligence on care delivery and access.

Oded Ben-Joseph, managing partner at Outcome Capital, said: “This initiative builds on our commitment to providing clients with differentiated expertise in high-growth areas of healthcare services. The Advisory Board will strengthen our ability to deliver the specialised, strategy-first advice that helps clients navigate complexity, harness innovation and unlock long-term value.”

Thom Stambaugh, a recognised leader in pharmacy innovation and care delivery transformation, will serve as the inaugural member of the Advisory Board. Stambaugh spent more than 20 years at Cigna, holding leadership roles including chief pharmacy officer, vice president of specialty pharmacy, and vice president of value-based partnerships. He has also held executive positions with a privately funded start-up PBM and a private equity–backed long-term care pharmacy focused on behavioural health.

Charles H. Simmons, managing director at Outcome Capital and head of the Healthcare Services Practice, will serve as chairman of the Advisory Board. He said: “We see a confluence of forces driving unprecedented change and opportunity across the pharmacy and medication management ecosystem. I couldn’t ask for a better or more trusted inaugural member than Thom Stambaugh, and I look forward to continuing to build out the Board with other industry leaders shaping the future of pharmacy services.”

The board will leverage deep operational and policy experience to help clients anticipate disruption, capitalise on innovation, and achieve strategic advantage. Outcome Capital said the Advisory Board aligns with its strategy-led execution model, combining sector expertise, operational insight, and financial acumen to help clients accelerate growth, improve outcomes, and strengthen strategic positioning in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
