CPHI & PMEC India 2025 returns to Delhi as South Asia’s largest pharma event
CPHI & PMEC India will return to the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida in late November, bringing together thousands of exhibitors and visitors from across the global pharmaceutical supply chain. The event is widely regarded as a key meeting point for organisations working in active pharmaceutical ingredients, machinery, formulation development, packaging, analytics and broader manufacturing infrastructure.
India’s pharmaceutical sector has expanded significantly over the past decade and continues to play a central role in global medicine supply. The domestic market was valued at an estimated $34.1 billion in 2023 and remains one of the world’s largest producers of generics and vaccines. Industry data show India supplies around 40% of US generic demand, a quarter of UK requirements and roughly 60% of global vaccine needs. It also hosts the highest number of US FDA-approved manufacturing units outside the US, underlining its position as a major global manufacturing base.
This year’s edition of CPHI & PMEC India is expected to draw more than 50,000 pharmaceutical professionals and over 2,000 exhibiting companies to an exhibition footprint that spans more than 120,000 square metres. Organisers said the event is designed to provide visitors with visibility across the full pharmaceutical value chain, with nine specialist zones covering finished dosage, excipients, natural extracts, APIs, fine chemicals and intermediates, cleanroom technologies, machinery and equipment, packaging, and laboratory and analytical equipment.
More than 20 speakers have been confirmed for a series of forums and panel discussions. Sessions will feature regulators, academic specialists and senior industry figures, with topics ranging from the regional geopolitical environment to developments in biomanufacturing and advances in analytical capabilities. Organisers said the discussions will offer practical insights into manufacturing and regulation in a fast-evolving market.
The event will also continue its Connections Programme, which aims to support targeted networking by bringing together senior decision-makers and stakeholders from India and international markets. Attendees in the programme receive curated meeting schedules supported by matchmaking software, along with access to dedicated networking areas. The initiative is designed to help participants identify potential partners and explore opportunities across supply, manufacturing and distribution.
For 2025, organisers have introduced premium passes aimed at improving the visitor experience and attracting a more focused audience. These additions are intended to help companies meet prospective partners and enhance exposure within an increasingly competitive sector.
CPHI & PMEC India remains one of the most prominent pharmaceutical exhibitions in South Asia, providing a structured environment for industry professionals to explore technology, expand networks and assess opportunities in a growing global manufacturing hub.
