Video: ADM outlines glycerin excipient focus at CPHI Frankfurt
ADM used CPHI Frankfurt to highlight developments in its pharmaceutical excipients’ portfolio, with a particular focus on high-purity vegetable-derived glycerin for sensitive drug formulations. The company presented its latest glycerin offering as part of a wider push to support formulators working on complex medicines where excipient consistency and impurity control are increasingly critical.
Watch the interview:
The glycerin product is manufactured under cGMP conditions and is designed to meet major pharmacopeial requirements, with a specific emphasis on very low aldehyde levels. ADM positioned the excipient as suitable for a broad range of applications, including parenteral, oral and biologic formulations, reflecting growing demand for reliable, plant-based alternatives to synthetic glycerin as regulatory scrutiny around excipient quality continues to increase.
