Supreme Group adds AI strategist Dr Ramon Felciano to board of directors

Supreme Group, a healthcare and life sciences communications platform, has appointed Dr Ramon Felciano as an independent member of its board of directors.

Felciano is a recognized figure in biomedical data science and artificial intelligence, known for founding Ingenuity—a company focused on AI-powered genome interpretation and systems biology. Ingenuity was acquired by QIAGEN in 2013, forming the basis of QIAGEN’s digital transformation in AI. He later led the QIAGEN Digital Insights division, helping to scale its data science business to nearly $100 million in revenue through five acquisitions over five years.

Currently, Felciano serves as founder and CEO of Digital Alchemy, a consultancy that advises life sciences and health technology companies on AI strategy and digital innovation. His role at Supreme Group is expected to support the development of Supreme Intelligence—the company’s proprietary AI platform designed for healthcare and life sciences applications.

Tom Donnelly, CEO of Supreme Group, said the appointment supports the company’s ambition to embed intelligence into every part of its operations.

“Dr. Felciano brings a rare blend of scientific depth, software fluency, and strategic vision,” Donnelly said.

“As we continue building Supreme Intelligence, his guidance will help us move faster, make smarter decisions, and deliver greater impact for our clients, agencies, and platform as a whole.”

According to the company, its AI strategy is not limited to tool adoption but aims to embed data-driven capabilities at scale across its network. The focus is on combining creative, operational, and scientific insights to improve communications outcomes for healthcare and life sciences clients.

Felciano noted that the responsible use of AI can offer a key advantage in the health communications space.

He said: “We’re at a pivotal moment where responsible AI application can be a strong differentiator for agencies supporting healthcare clients,” he said. “Supreme Group has built its business by embracing innovative technologies in service of creativity, efficiency, and client impact, while also investing in professional development for its people. I’m excited about the opportunity to support its agencies in elevating their creative and strategic capabilities to better connect visionary life sciences companies with researchers and clinicians around the world.”

Felciano holds a Ph.D. in biomedical data science from Stanford University and serves as a board member and advisor to several digital health and biotech companies.
