AES Cleanroom Technology opens new office in Research Triangle Park to expand Southeast presence

AES Cleanroom Technology has opened a new regional office in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina, expanding its presence in one of the United States’ leading life sciences hubs.

The new office is designed to strengthen the company’s operations across the Southeast, supporting clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and research and development. The move brings AES’s design, engineering, and construction teams closer to the growing number of companies establishing facilities within North Carolina’s Research Triangle region.

Chris Miller, chief executive officer of AES Cleanroom Technology, said: “The Research Triangle Park represents one of the most dynamic life sciences ecosystems in the country, and we’re excited to strengthen our presence in this thriving market. Our expansion allows us to bring our full-spectrum capabilities—from initial design through manufacturing and construction—directly to the innovators shaping the future of life sciences.”

AES said the new RTP office will serve as a regional hub for its vertically integrated project model, which unites cleanroom design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction within a single framework. This model aims to streamline delivery, reduce project timelines, and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards.

John Costalas, vice president of construction, added: “Having a dedicated local team allows us to work directly alongside our clients throughout their projects and provide real-time support during critical phases. Our Made-in-USA manufacturing ensures quality control, eliminates foreign supply chain dependencies, and supports faster project delivery.”

AES Cleanroom Technology has delivered modular facilities for clients across sectors including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, healthcare, and advanced electronics. The company’s work has been recognised with multiple industry awards for innovation in modular facility design and execution.

The RTP expansion forms part of AES’s broader strategy to invest in regional markets that combine academic research, biomanufacturing, and technology development. By building a stronger local presence, AES aims to enhance collaboration with life sciences and advanced manufacturing partners in the Southeast and improve access to modular cleanroom solutions for future facility projects.
