CPHI Frankfurt 2025 set to welcome more than 60,000 global pharma professionals
CPHI Frankfurt 2025 will bring the world’s pharmaceutical community back to Germany this autumn, with organisers Informa Markets expecting more than 63,000 professionals to attend the three-day event at Messe Frankfurt, October 28–30. Now in its 36th year, the exhibition and conference remains the largest and most influential meeting point for the global pharma industry.
The scale of this year’s event reflects both the pace of industry growth and CPHI’s continued expansion. Attendees will find more than 2,000 exhibitors, six content theatres, and an agenda designed to combine networking opportunities with insight into the most pressing challenges and innovations shaping the sector.
“CPHI is more than an event, it’s a global experience,” said Tara Dougal, event director, CPHI Frankfurt. “It’s the one place each year where the full pharmaceutical supply chain comes together to collaborate, build relationships, and get business done.”
Growth and new focus areas
Following a record-breaking 2024 edition in Milan, which drew 59,000 visitors, CPHI Frankfurt 2025 is expected to surpass that milestone. The event’s scope has widened in recent years to reflect the diversification of pharma, moving beyond APIs to include finished dosage formulation, bioproduction, packaging, and drug delivery.
In line with the industry’s evolving priorities, this year’s event will introduce several new feature zones. These will spotlight fast-growing areas such as digital health technologies, AI-powered drug development, and sustainable manufacturing — themes that are increasingly central to pharma innovation.
“The new zones are designed to keep pace with where the market is going,” added Dougal. “They’re a direct response to rising demand from both attendees and exhibitors for more focused, future-looking areas within the show.”
Networking and recognition
As in previous years, CPHI Frankfurt 2025 will offer attendees a mix of formal and informal opportunities to connect and learn:
Six content theatres, running throughout the event, will deliver insights on R&D, market trends, manufacturing, and regulatory developments.
The CPHI Awards and Celebration will recognise innovation and leadership across 14 categories, including Women in Pharma and Future Leader of the Year.
Happy hour networking sessions on the first two evenings will encourage informal exchanges and cross-sector introductions.
The CPHI app, already a popular feature, helps attendees plan agendas, pre-book meetings, and navigate the exhibition floor, with functionality extending beyond the event to support follow-up.
“Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a returning exhibitor, planning is key,” Dougal noted. “Our digital platform helps attendees get the most value by streamlining preparation and ensuring no opportunity is missed.”
Global platform
CPHI Frankfurt sits at the centre of a portfolio of 10 international events, spanning Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia. The most recent addition, CPHI Middle East, launched in Riyadh in 2024 and will return in April 2026.
Together, these events provide a global platform for pharma professionals to connect, discover innovation, and build collaborations that shape the industry’s future.
