Evinova has announced collaborations with Astellas Pharma, AstraZeneca and Bristol Myers Squibb aimed at enhancing global clinical development through its AI-native platform.

Each partner company will share operational data with Evinova to provide benchmarks and insights intended to inform clinical trial design and execution.

Clinical trials are often slowed by fragmented systems, manual workflows and delayed decision-making. Evinova’s approach seeks to streamline study planning by identifying operational patterns and potential improvements, offering analysis of trial design implications for timelines, patient engagement and other key factors.

Pascal Soriot, chief executive officer at AstraZeneca, said: “This strategic collaboration with Evinova harnesses AI to accelerate clinical development, which we believe will significantly improve productivity gains, deliver faster trials, and enhance patient experience.”

Tadaaki Taniguchi, chief research & development officer at Astellas, added: “By partnering with Evinova and leveraging their AI-native Study Designer platform, our teams will be able to design smarter, more patient centered studies, eliminate avoidable rework, and move with greater speed and precision.”

Cristian Massacesi, EVP, chief medical officer & head of development at Bristol Myers Squibb, said: “Transforming clinical development is not just an opportunity; it is an urgent necessity. Digital tools and AI can help us overcome these limitations and lay the foundation for better health outcomes for countless individuals.”

Cristina Duran, president of Evinova, said: “By uniting deep domain expertise with the power of AI, our strategic collaborations with life science leaders are moving the industry from heavy manual, fragmented processes to intelligent, AI-first workflows that deliver measurable benefits at scale.”

The collaborations aim to apply operational data to generate actionable recommendations, offering visibility into clinical trial performance and enabling sponsors to make more informed decisions. Evinova’s platform combines study design analysis, document processing, and digital representation of clinical protocols to inform and streamline operational planning, without replacing human decision-making.

The companies have not disclosed financial terms. The partnerships focus on operational benchmarking and insight-sharing, rather than any co-development or drug-related transactions.
