Phastar Shortlisted for ‘CRO Partnership of the Year’ at 2025 Citeline Awards
Phastar, a biometrics and data science Contract Research Organization (CRO), has been named a finalist for the ‘CRO Partnership of the Year’ category at the 2025 Citeline Awards.
The company is recognized for its collaboration with Medicines Development for Global Health (MDGH) through its Phastar Cares pro bono initiative. The partnership supported two Phase 3b studies of more than 12,000 participants to advance moxidectin for onchocerciasis, a disease that has caused blindness in 1.5 million people worldwide.
The winners of the Citeline Awards will be announced on May 8th, 2025, at the Downtown Boston Theater District Hotel. The awards recognize groundbreaking collaborations in clinical trials, judged on the quality of activities from January 2024 to February 2025.
Moxidectin is the first new drug for onchocerciasis in over 30 years. In January 2025, Ghana became the first country to implement moxidectin for community-based treatment. Phastar’s biostatistical support played a key role in MDGH achieving its study objectives.
Graham Clark, CEO of Phastar, said: “We are honored to be shortlisted for this award. This recognition highlights our team’s dedication and our commitment to building partnerships that help deliver life-changing therapies faster.”
Mark Sullivan AO, managing director of MDGH, praised Phastar’s contribution, emphasizing the importance of their expertise in advancing global health goals.
