Prescient integrates Uptake and Dolon to create 550-strong pharma consultancy
Prescient Healthcare Group has completed the integration of Uptake and Dolon, bringing more than 550 specialists together under a single global brand serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Prescient brings acquisitions under one brand
The integration follows Prescient’s acquisition of healthcare consultancy Uptake in January 2026 and its acquisition of value, pricing and access consultancy Dolon in March. Both businesses have now been incorporated into the Prescient brand.
Dolon confirmed in July that its website would move to the Prescient website from 13 August, with its existing team and expertise continuing as part of the wider organisation.
Prescient said the integration creates a single organisation covering commercial strategy, competitive strategy, medical affairs, real-world evidence, and value, pricing and access.
The combined business supports pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies from early clinical development through to product launch and lifecycle management.
Jason McKenna, chief executive officer of Prescient, said: “What began as an expansion of our capabilities has become something much more powerful. Over the past several months, the Prescient, Dolon and Uptake teams have been working together to solve increasingly complex challenges for clients.”
He added that bringing the businesses together under the Prescient name reflects the way the organisation now operates, combining specialist expertise across commercial, medical and market access disciplines.
Uptake and Dolon expand Prescient’s capabilities
Prescient acquired Uptake Strategies in January, describing the deal as a combination of complementary commercial and strategic expertise for pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Uptake became part of Prescient’s commercial practice, with Stephanie Hall, its former chief executive and founder, taking on a global commercial leadership role.
The company subsequently acquired Dolon, a London-based strategic pricing and market access consultancy, in March. Dolon joined Prescient as a dedicated Value, Pricing and Access practice, adding expertise in pricing, reimbursement and market access.
The latest integration brings those capabilities together with Prescient’s existing medical and competitive strategy operations.
The company said its four main areas now include:
- Commercial strategy and planning
- Competitive strategy
- Medical affairs and real-world evidence
- Value, pricing and access
The move also follows a period of operational alignment between the three businesses and establishes a single Prescient brand across its international offices.
Focus shifts from separate capabilities to integrated services
Debbie Allman, Prescient’s chief growth officer and global practice lead, commercial, said: “Our clients don’t experience challenges in functional silos. Scientific, commercial, competitive and access decisions increasingly influence one another.”
She added: “Our role is to connect those perspectives in practical ways that help clients make stronger decisions and execute with confidence.”
Prescient’s acquisition activity comes as specialist healthcare consultancies continue to attract interest from investors and larger services businesses. A recent Grant Thornton review of healthcare and pharma services M&A identified Prescient’s acquisition of Dolon as part of continued activity in pharmaceutical services and market access.
The company has not disclosed further financial details relating to the integration.
The completion of the rebrand means Uptake and Dolon will now operate as part of Prescient rather than as separate brands, giving pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies access to their combined expertise through a single organisation.
