Roquette unveils new organisational structure following IFF Pharma Solutions acquisition
Company creates two business groups to drive growth across health, pharma, nutrition and bioindustry sectors
Roquette has announced a new global structure following its acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions, revealed last week on May 1. The company said the reorganization aims to enhance agility, strengthen its global footprint and support long-term sustainable growth across its core markets.
According to Roquette, the updated framework introduces two distinct Business Groups, each supported by dedicated teams and resources. The move comes as the company expands to more than 11,000 employees across 40 manufacturing sites, with a reinforced international network of R&D and innovation centers.
The company said the acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions – combined with the previous acquisition of Qualicaps in 2023 – has helped to balance its offering between the health and nutrition sectors. The reorganization is designed to deliver more tailored solutions and accelerate innovation in both areas.
The newly created Health & Pharma Solutions Business Group will focus on addressing complex drug delivery and patient care challenges. Isabelle Bouvier has been appointed to lead the group as CEO. Previously Roquette’s Chief Financial Officer, Bouvier also oversaw Digital, M&A and Strategy, and led the acquisition processes for both Qualicaps and IFF Pharma Solutions.
Commenting on her new role, Bouvier said: “Over the past few years, we have accelerated Roquette’s positioning as a key partner for major pharmaceutical companies, with our own successful track record, the recent acquisition of Qualicaps and now the transformative acquisition of IFF Pharma Solutions. I am delighted to lead the merger of these three entities into a single, unified Business Group.”
She added: “This integration will strengthen our health and pharma activities by combining the industry’s largest portfolio of oral drug delivery solutions, unparalleled technological expertise, a truly global footprint, and a unique ability to serve our customers worldwide.”
Roquette’s Nutrition & Bioindustry Business Group will incorporate selected business lines from IFF and focus on expanding the company’s role in food, animal nutrition, and sustainable industrial applications. The company stated that this group will build on Roquette’s existing capabilities in plant-based innovation to meet evolving market demands.
Pascal Leroy, who has been with Roquette for more than a decade in senior leadership roles, has been appointed CEO of the group.
Leroy said: “Our nutrition and bioindustry activities have successfully driven the company to where it is today. As we bring them together in our Business Group, I look forward to building on our strong operational capabilities and to providing innovative solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of our markets.”
He added: “Our ambition is to become the leading supplier of plant-based ingredients that contribute to healthier, tastier foods, and more sustainable lifestyles.”
Roquette also confirmed that Béatrice Totel has been appointed Chief Financial Officer. Totel, who joined the company in 2021 as Head of Business Finance, is credited by the company with helping to shape its financial strategy and operations. Her leadership is expected to provide continuity as the company transitions into its new structure.
Roquette CEO Pierre Courduroux said the changes were part of a broader strategic evolution: “Building on our robust and integrated business model, Roquette is strengthening its organisation by creating two well-balanced and complementary Business Groups. Each Business Group will be equipped with dedicated assets, capabilities, and teams to better serve our customers, all while continuing to operate under the strong Roquette brand.”
