TraceLink MINT transaction volume surges 183% in 2026

TraceLink’s MINT platform has recorded more supply chain transaction activity in 2026 than across the whole of 2025.

Digital supply chain activity accelerates

TraceLink’s Multienterprise Information Network Tower (MINT) has recorded a sharp increase in digital supply chain activity, with transaction volume in 2026 through early August already 183% higher than the total recorded during the whole of 2025.

The increase is accompanied by growth in the number of companies using the network and the range of transactions being processed, according to figures released by TraceLink.

New MINT live activations in 2026 through early August were 53% higher than the full-year 2025 total, while the number of live companies was 138% higher than the figure recorded at the end of last year.

The figures point to increasing use of digital systems to exchange supply chain information between life sciences companies and their trading partners.

Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO of TraceLink, said: “AI cannot transform supply chains without trusted operational context spanning companies, systems, business transactions, and processes.”

Dahod said the growth in MINT was giving companies access to more operational information across their supply networks, which could support greater use of automation and AI.

More supply chain transactions move online

The growth has also extended to the types of transactions being processed through MINT.

The number of new MINT transaction types recorded in 2026 through early August was 58% higher than the total for the whole of 2025. New transaction types also increased 168% between the first and second quarters of 2026.

The total number of live MINT transaction types was 141% higher than at the end of 2025 and increased 55% between Q1 and Q2.

The transactions include purchase orders, order acknowledgments, shipments, invoices and inventory updates. These exchanges provide information on the movement of products and materials between companies and can reduce reliance on manual processes and individual system integrations.

For pharmaceutical manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and other organisations involved in the supply chain, the ability to exchange more transaction data digitally can provide a broader view of activity across company boundaries.

Network growth supports wider supply chain collaboration

TraceLink said its wider network now links more than 315,000 authenticated business entities and supports hundreds of billions of annual supply chain exchanges.

The company has historically focused on areas including pharmaceutical serialization, traceability and regulatory compliance, but its latest figures indicate that customers are using the network for a wider range of supply chain processes.

The growth in MINT transaction activity is particularly notable because the 2026 figures cover only the period through early August, meaning the platform has already exceeded its entire 2025 transaction volume before the end of the year.

TraceLink said the increase in participating companies and transaction types is creating more data that can be used across supply chain operations.

For the life sciences industry, where supply chains frequently span manufacturers, contract organisations, distributors and other trading partners, increased digital exchange could help companies improve visibility of orders, shipments and inventory without relying on separate processes for each relationship.

The figures do not provide an absolute transaction count for MINT, so the percentage increases cannot be used to determine the total volume of individual transactions processed. However, the year-on-year and quarterly growth indicates a significant expansion in use of the platform during 2026.
