Brenntag signs Eastern Europe nutraceutical distribution deal
Brenntag has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Zeus Hygia Life Sciences covering its nutraceutical ingredients across Eastern Europe.
Agreement covers health ingredients
Under the agreement, Brenntag will be the sole authorised distributor of Zeus Hygia’s portfolio in Eastern European markets.
The portfolio includes ingredients and formulations targeting metabolic health and glucose management, cognitive wellness, menopausal health and inflammatory support.
Brenntag said its regional operations will provide distribution, regulatory and supply-chain support for Zeus Hygia’s products, including product registration assistance and local customer support.
The agreement covers more than 20 countries across the region through Brenntag’s existing network of warehouses, logistics operations and regulatory services.
Dariusz Lipiak, business manager pharma CEE at Brenntag, said: “Zeus Hygia brings a compelling ingredient portfolio and a clear commitment to clinical rigor. As exclusive partner in Eastern Europe, Brenntag is confident that our combined capabilities will deliver exceptional outcomes for our shared customers and accelerate the adoption of premium nutraceutical ingredients across the region.”
Zeus Hygia expands European distribution
The partnership gives Zeus Hygia access to Brenntag’s established distribution network in Eastern Europe as the company expands its portfolio of branded nutraceutical ingredients.
Shankar Narayanan, co-founder of Zeus Hygia Life Sciences, said: “This partnership with Brenntag is more than a distribution agreement, it is a declaration of our commitment to bringing world-class life science ingredients to healthcare systems and industries across Eastern Europe.”
Narayanan added that the agreement would support the company’s expansion by giving its ingredients access to healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers and wellness brands in the region.
The companies said the agreement combines Zeus Hygia’s ingredient portfolio with Brenntag’s distribution infrastructure and local market capabilities.
Partnership targets Eastern European markets
Eastern Europe is an expanding market for nutraceutical and life sciences ingredients, with the companies pointing to increased consumer interest in health products and pharmaceutical manufacturing activity in the region.
Brenntag operates across more than 70 countries and has around 600 sites globally. The company provides chemical and ingredient distribution services, including technical, formulation and regulatory support.
For Zeus Hygia, the agreement provides an established route to market for its proprietary ingredients across Eastern Europe.
The companies did not disclose financial terms or the duration of the agreement.
