HeliosX strengthens leadership team to drive global growth and brand innovation

HeliosX has expanded its senior leadership team with the appointments of Oded Frommer as vice president of growth, John Mintoft as vice president of product design, and Helen Pomphrey as head of brand. The company, which operates UK digital healthcare platforms MedExpress and Dermatica, says the new hires will help accelerate international expansion, enhance customer engagement, and drive product innovation.

Together, the three leaders bring more than 50 years of experience from global companies, including Spotify, Amazon, Innocent Drinks, Lumen and Rakuten Viber. HeliosX aims to use this expertise to scale its operations, targeting 20 million orders annually while maintaining its current 75% customer retention rate.

Oded Frommer, previously co-founder of gaming startup Gigantic and senior leader at Lumen and Rakuten Viber, will lead HeliosX’s global growth strategy. His responsibilities include performance marketing, lifecycle initiatives and growth operations. Oded said: “I am excited to be part of a fast-growing business like HeliosX, and play an active role in supporting and educating people wanting to improve their health and wellbeing.”

John Mintoft brings nearly 30 years of experience in UX and digital product design, having led key initiatives at Amazon and Spotify. At HeliosX, he will oversee the development of customer-focused digital experiences across its healthcare platforms. John said: “I’m thrilled to join HeliosX as VP of Product Design. I look forward to leading a talented team focused on using thoughtful design to modernise the healthcare experience for all.”

Helen Pomphrey, with over 15 years in senior marketing roles at FMCG brands including Innocent Drinks, MOMA Goods and Eat Real Snacks, will lead HeliosX’s brand strategy. She will focus on strengthening the company’s identity and building awareness across international markets. Helen said: “The digital healthcare sector is at a pivotal moment, with both significant challenges and exciting opportunities. At HeliosX, my focus will be on shaping a brand that truly reflects the needs of our customers and supports them in accessing healthcare with confidence.”
