Qureight raises $20 million to expand AI imaging platform for clinical trials
Qureight has raised $20 million in a Series B financing to expand its AI-powered quantitative imaging platform and develop new tools for clinical trials in lung and heart diseases.
The Cambridge-based imaging company said the funding, led by Molten Ventures alongside existing investors, will support the development of a new AI imaging laboratory and expand its portfolio of 3D deep learning disease models.
Qureight plans to use the new infrastructure to accelerate the development of imaging models for diseases including asthma, pulmonary hypertension, bronchiectasis and drug-induced lung toxicity.
The company already has imaging models focused on lung fibrosis and provides imaging and precision endpoint services to biopharmaceutical companies conducting clinical trials.
The Series B financing included participation from Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind and Ascension.
Qureight expands AI imaging into new diseases
Qureight is developing an AI imaging laboratory to support its 3D chest imaging Foundation Model, which the company said could reduce the amount of data and time required to develop new disease-specific models.
The platform is intended to support the use of quantitative imaging in clinical trials, allowing researchers to measure structural changes associated with disease progression and assess treatment responses.
The company’s existing portfolio includes AI-based lung imaging biomarkers designed to quantify compartment-specific structural changes in fibrotic lung diseases.
Qureight also provides global imaging contract research organisation services, supporting image handling in clinical trials and helping with site onboarding and patient inclusion decisions.
Its data science products include synthetic control arms, which can be used to compare clinical trial participants with external or generated comparator populations and potentially reduce the time and cost associated with some studies.
The company said its imaging services are already being used by biopharmaceutical partners in clinical trials involving fibrotic lung diseases.
The new financing will support further development of the platform and expansion into additional therapeutic areas involving lung and heart disease.

The company’s plans include developing new disease models for asthma, pulmonary hypertension, bronchiectasis and drug-induced lung toxicity.
The expansion reflects growing interest in quantitative imaging and AI-based analysis as tools to support clinical research, particularly in diseases where conventional measures may not fully capture changes in tissue structure or disease progression.
$20 million Series B supports clinical trial technology
The funding round was led by Molten Ventures, with existing investors Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind and Ascension also participating.
Qureight said the investment will also support commercial expansion as demand grows for imaging CRO services and precision endpoints in clinical trials.
The company plans to scale its commercial team alongside the development of its imaging technology.

The investment will also support Qureight’s work on AI-powered quantitative imaging analytics designed to improve the design and execution of clinical trials.
By combining imaging CRO services, AI-based biomarkers and data science products, the company aims to provide biopharmaceutical companies with a single platform for managing and analysing imaging data throughout clinical development.
Qureight said its 3D imaging technology could allow disease-specific models to be developed more rapidly by building on a broader foundation model rather than requiring large amounts of disease-specific data for each new application.
The company’s expansion into additional lung and heart diseases will be an important test of whether the approach can be applied across different disease areas and clinical trial settings.
Qureight’s new AI imaging laboratory is expected to support the development of these models as the company expands its platform beyond lung fibrosis.
The Series B funding marks a further investment in the use of AI and quantitative imaging to generate more precise endpoints for clinical research, with the potential to support faster and more efficient development programmes in diseases where imaging plays an important role in measuring disease progression.
