AnalytiChem UK highlights microbial EM products at Pharmig 2025
AnalytiChem UK (formerly Cherwell) will showcase its range of environmental monitoring (EM) and process validation products at Pharmig’s 33rd Annual Conference, focusing on best practice in pharmaceutical microbiology. The event, themed ‘Hot Topics in Pharmaceutical Microbiology’, takes place at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel on 19–20 November 2025.
At the conference, the company will spotlight contamination control strategies (CCS) and rapid microbiological methods (RMM), demonstrating products designed to support reliable EM protocols and reduce risk in sterile manufacturing. Featured solutions include the Redipor® TwistLock locking prepared media plates, the BAMS real-time microbial monitor, and the Redipor® BetaBag for aseptic material transfer.
The newly launched Redipor TwistLock plates are designed to maintain sample integrity throughout the microbial monitoring process. By replacing standard loose-lidded culture media plates with locking lids, the plates help ensure reliable data and maintain product safety during collection, transport, and analysis.
The Redipor BetaBag enables validated, sterile transfer of media plates into Grade A environments, supporting EU GMP Annex 1 compliance. Connected to an Alpha port on an isolator or restricted access barrier system (RABS), the BetaBag provides a sealed, no-touch transfer system that minimises operator contact and contamination risk. Gamma irradiation ensures sterility without additional decontamination steps, while the closed Alpha-Beta connection maintains containment integrity.
Yoggya De Silva, microbiology product specialist at AnalytiChem UK, said: “Reducing risk is fundamental to sterile pharmaceutical product manufacturing, and often small changes can deliver a big impact in achieving this. Through our high quality products, plus a flexible and reliable service with expert support, we help our customers to proactively manage risk. Events like Pharmig give us a perfect opportunity to connect directly, deepen our industry insight, and stay current with the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical industry and our customers alike.”
Other products to be featured at the stand include the broader Redipor® prepared media range, sustainable options such as plastic bottled media and variably sized plated media packs, SAS microbial air samplers for active EM, and BAMS monitors for continuous air monitoring.
The AnalytiChem UK team will provide guidance on developing robust microbial EM programmes, drawing on more than 50 years of experience and global expertise in supporting contamination control and sterile manufacturing processes.
