Bio-Rad launches Vericheck ddPCR kits for cell and gene therapy quality control
Bio-Rad Laboratories has launched a portfolio of Vericheck ddPCR kits designed to support quality control workflows in cell and gene therapy manufacturing and other biopharmaceutical applications.
The kits are compatible with the company’s QX700 digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) platform and are intended to simplify quality control testing during advanced therapeutic development and manufacturing.
The new portfolio includes assays for mycoplasma detection, empty and full viral capsid analysis, replication-competent lentivirus testing, Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) residual DNA quantification and Escherichia coli residual DNA quantification.
According to Bio-Rad, the kits provide validated workflows for critical quality control processes including contamination detection, vector characterisation and residual host cell DNA testing, supporting developers working in advanced therapies.
The company said the QX700 platform enables seven-colour multiplexing and can process up to 384 reactions in approximately two and a half hours, while requiring minimal sample input and supporting continuous loading to improve laboratory throughput.
