Labguru and Titian Software rebrand as Cenevo to accelerate scientific discovery

Labguru and Titian Software have rebranded under a unified identity, Cenevo, bringing together the Mosaic and Labguru platforms to enhance lab automation, data management, and AI-enabled scientific research.

The combined company, backed by Battery Ventures, aims to streamline operations and accelerate innovation by unifying Mosaic’s sample-centric lab operations with Labguru’s experimental-centric capabilities, including ELN, LIMS, inventory management, and data orchestration.

According to the company, Cenevo enables connected, AI-ready laboratories that are better equipped to manage complex research demands, increasing efficiency and reproducibility while reducing operational costs.

The move follows recent internal research by Cenevo, which found that only 15% of labs are fully digitalised, with half still relying on manual processes. However, 45% of labs surveyed plan to adopt next-generation technologies—including AI and robotics—within the next two years, highlighting a shift in lab technology adoption.

Keith Hale, CEO at Cenevo, said the rebrand reflects the company’s evolving mission and continued commitment to both legacy platforms. “As the two companies come together, we unite behind shared values—expertise, curiosity, collaboration, and authenticity,” he said.

“Our focus is clear: investment, innovation, and customer service. We’re investing in the Mosaic and Labguru solutions—enhancing and expanding them—while also developing new data- and AI-enabled tools.”

Cenevo reports it now serves over 950 customers worldwide, including 8 of the top 10 pharmaceutical companies, with more than 45,000 scientists using its tools across academic, biotech, and large biopharma settings. The company operates globally with teams in the UK, US, Israel, and Poland.

Mosaic software focuses on automating and optimising sample tracking and lab workflows, integrating with over 150 lab devices and systems. Labguru offers a cloud-based platform unifying ELN, LIMS, and data management tools for research through to production.

Jonathan Gross, chief product officer at Cenevo, said connectivity is key to the future of lab innovation. “Smart, connected labs are the foundation for effective automation and AI use,” he said. “Mosaic and Labguru together support labs at every stage, enabling reproducible, high-quality science at speed and scale.”
