Sanofi has appointed Ahmed Moussa as its new country lead for the UK & Ireland, succeeding Rippon Ubhi.

In the role, Moussa will work with governments and health services to improve access to medicines and vaccines. He will also focus on supporting the UK life sciences sector and enhancing its attractiveness for inward investment.

Ahmed Moussa has nearly 18 years of experience at Sanofi, including leadership in global omnichannel transformation and commercial roles across the Greater Gulf region. His work has spanned diabetes, cardiovascular, oncology, specialty care and market access.

On his appointment, Moussa said: “I look forward to partnering with stakeholders to improve patient access to innovative therapies and to support the UK life sciences sector in strengthening its global competitiveness.”

The company did not disclose further changes to the UK & Ireland leadership team.
