BioIVT opens new lab facility in Woodbury, New York

BioIVT has expanded its operations with a new office and laboratory in Woodbury, New York, aimed at strengthening its role as a biospecimen solutions provider for drug and diagnostic development.

The company said the site will support both local research groups and international clients, reflecting the growing importance of New York as a centre for life sciences. The state recently committed $620 million in funding to biotechnology, sparking new investment and collaboration across the sector.

BioIVT, which has more than 40 years’ experience in sourcing and providing biospecimens, said the Woodbury site has been purpose-built to meet the needs of researchers developing new therapies and diagnostics.

Chief executive Richard Haigh said: “With our new Woodbury facility, BioIVT is deepening its support for the scientific research community, amplifying our global reach and impact, as well as our commitment to strengthening the local economy.”

The opening will be marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 18, with company staff, local government representatives and guests expected to attend.
